Competences
The National Diagnostic Centre (NDC) is a state administrative institution which organizes, plans and carries out independently laboratory examination and related activities, operating as a unit of Food and Veterinary Service. According to Regulation (EC) No 882/2004 and Regulation (EC) No 776/2006, NDC performs functions of Reference Laboratory for feed and food control (in 19 areas) and for animal health (in 9 areas).
The main tasks of NDC is to provide paid services and necessary planned and operative laboratorial testing according to the state surveillance programmes in animal health, food chain, environment, public health.
Integrated quality management system in NDC is successful in acting according to international standard requirements LVS EN ISO 9001 and LVS EN ISO/IEC 17025. NDC is accredited in national accreditation system LATAK and DAP (Germany) accreditation. Quality management system is certified in international certification institution "Det Norske Veritas".
